Information for presenters

Oral Sessions

(1)PC Preview Center

The PC Preview Center will be open during the following hours.
Please visit the Preview Center no later than 30 minutes prior to your presentation.

(2)Presentation Time

Lecture times are written to the right of the abstract number in the program.

(3)Format

PC presentations only. The following will be available at each venue:

  • 1 PC(Windows, Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013/2016 )
  • 1 projector for PC (Resolution: XGA, 1024×768)
  • 1 screen
  • Please bring PCs to the operator’s seat at the venue 15 minutes prior to the start of
    the session.
  • You may conduct a preliminary operation test and check data at the venue’s preview
    corner. Please consult with the staff at the PC preview corner if you have any problems.
~ To speakers bringing their own PCs ~
  • A D-sub 15 pin (mini) cable will be available at each venue.
    Please bring a connector, if necessary.
    (Speakers using Macintosh will need to bring a connector.)
  • The screen resolution is XGA (1024×768). If the presentation is larger than this size, the periphery of the slides will be cut off, so please set up your PC in advance.
〈How to Set the Screen〉
Windows:

Right-click the mouse on the desktop screen. After opening [Display Properties], open the [Settings] screen and set the [Screen Resolution] to 1024×768. Click [Apply].
This operation will differ slightly depending on the PC used.

Macintosh:

This operation varies depending on the model, version, and software used.
Please check the manual.

  • Please cancel settings for screensavers and power savings.
  • Be sure to bring backup data to be prepared for any unexpected problems.
  • Please consider using English as much as possible for presentation slides so that participants whose native language is not Japanese will be able to understand.

Poster Sessions

(1)Poster Area

(2)Poster Setup and Removal Times

Poster setup and removal should be done according to the following schedule.

Setup: May 29 (Tue), 9:00 ~ 11:00
Removal: May 31 (Thu), 14:00 ~ 16:00

In principle, please leave posters up until the final day of the program.

※Posters must be removed during the Poster Removal hours. Any poster remaining after the designated removal period will be discarded after storing by the Administration Secretariat.

(3)Discussion

Poster discussion should be conducted according to the following schedule.
May 30 (Wed), 16:00-18:00
16:00-17:00 (Presenters due for odd number posters)
17:00-18:00 (Presenters due for even number posters)
Presenters should wear a ribbon during each of the above time slots and respond to questions in front of his/her poster.

(4)Exhibition Outline

Prepare (per subject):

  • 1 panel (2100 mm (L) × 900 mm (W))
  • Poster number (200 mm (L) × 200 mm (W))
    Please prepare a description that lists the title of the panel, author’s name, and affiliation on a sheet with a size of 200 mm (L) × 700 mm (W).
    The display space available for exhibits is a maximum of 1700 mm (L) ×x 900 mm (W).

(5)Best Poster Awards

The winners of the Best Poster Awards will be selected by the Poster Award Selection Committee during the exhibition period.
Winners will be presented with the Best Poster Awards at the social event on May 30 (Wed) (18:15-, Rokkakudo Square the Kurume City Plaza ).

Photography Contest

May 29 (Tue), 11:00 – May 31 (Thu), 14:00

(3)Photo Setup and Removal Times

Photo setup and removal should be conducted according to the following schedule.

Setup: May 29 (Tue), 9:00 ~ 11:00
Removal: May 31 (Thu), 14:00 ~ 16:00

In principle, please leave photos up until the final day of the program.

(4)Exhibition Outline

Prepare (per photo):

  • 1 panel (1980 mm (L) × 830 mm (W))
  • Photo number (200 mm (L) × 200 mm (W))
    Please prepare a description that lists the title of the photo, photographer’s name, and affiliation on a sheet with a size of 200 mm (L) × 630 mm (W).
    Please display the same photo(s) and description(s) as those used in the original manuscript in a space the size of 1700 mm (L) × 830 mm (W) (max).
    Photos should be 1000 mm × 830 mm (max).

(5)Voting & Announcement of Results

Ballot papers for the photography contest will be handed out to participants at the Annual Meeting.
Please drop your ballot paper into the ballot box set up at the photography contest venue by 14:00 on May 30 (Wed).
Best photos will be announced at the social gathering on May 30 (Wed) (18:15- , Rokkakudo Square the Kurume City Plaza).
